My favorite piece I’ve ever made has to be my little Victorian hand, I felt it would make the perfect little pin!
My very own take on the classic and unreliably beautiful idea of the Victorian hand being worn as an amulet.
This particular hand was sculpted by hand by me and is casted in fine, lead free, pewter then polished and aged all by hand by me.
These hands were sculpted by me in clay then casted in fine pewter (lead free) then polished, blackened. Pewter was considered a fine metal in the 17th and 18th centuries and my research of the eras is what sparked a love and fascination with this metal.
